The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. With five number-one singles, six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards, and six number one albums, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s. The Eagles are one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 150 million records[3]—100 million in the U.S. alone—including 42 million copies of Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) and 32 million copies of Hotel California. They are the fifth-highest-selling music act and highest-selling American band in U.S. history. No American band sold more records than the Eagles during the 1970s.
The Eagles are a scourge. They are dreadful.
The Eagles are country music.
Name a single good British band from the past two decades. Who cares what came out of England in the 1970s? In my lifetime, the most notable British acts have been Oasis and the Spice Girls.
If I'm looking for good music on any given night in 2014, I'd rather be in NYC or LA than London.
Radiohead is the best thing to come out of England since the 70s. I understand their music is not for everyone, but for those who "get it," it is amazing.
Also, Aerosmith sucks dick. So do the Eagles.
Zeppelin, Sabbath, The Stones etc were great. I have no idea how we were only able to produce Aerosmith and the God damned Eagles in that time period.
...then elephants spend most of their days talking to each other via blue tooth headsets about quantum gravity.
Of all time? I don't know, but I can immediately name several rock bands better than Aerosmith.
New York Dolls
Ramones
Nirvana
The Doors
The Velvet Underground
Soundgarden
Black Keys
Stooges
White Stripes
Even Journey is better than Aerosmith.
Last British band I really liked was The Verve, which was a little less than 20 years ago. But not much.
Jesus, people, what the fugg is wrong with you? James Marshall Hendrix.
Plus all those 60s British acts were just copying the American blues guys of the 40s and 50s.
Aerosmith did one decent record in 1975. The rest is pretty mediocre. Zz top and the Allman bros are light years better and more influential than Aerosmith.
Man I love me some ZZ Top, but the songwriting and music from Aerosmith is just better.
Aerosmith IS the best US rock band ever. The Doors are a close second.
Love with Arthur Lee was better

2/3 of the Experience were British.
Prince anyone?
The world hasn't been right since the Dead Kennedy's broke up. I'll give some love to Husker Du and the Minutemen.

Aerosmith, seriously?! Wow you must a dumb idiot if you think that Aerosh*t excuse me Aerosmith is worth listening to at all. Their music was absolute crap. Guitar - sucked, Bass - sucked, vocals -okay, keyboards - non existent. Now if you want the real answer here it is.
1. Journey - by far without a doubt the greatest rock band ever
2. Styx - close second
3 REO Speedwagon - close third.
there ya go you moron.
