Travel problems? Budget?
Travel problems? Budget?
If you aren't going to qualify, whats the point?
Doesn't make sense.
The women were having a breakout season (4th at conference & the individual conf. champ after team was dead last 2 years ago). The men are solid. They had a press release about running the regional meet on their website on Wednesday then it was mysteriously taken down.
Any insight?
Lets just say some major news is going to be coming out of Cheney. Can't say to much. But the next couple years are going to be rough for the EWU program after some of these startling allegations are brought to the public.
Stay tuned for details.
ohhh, sounds juicy. What could it be, what could it be.... That's too bad, in all seriousness, EWU was looking better this year than they have in years. Their women's team has some really solid runners. I hope they don't drop the program or something stupid like that.
Lets just say.... New job opening!!!
Since it is EWU, normally I would just guess that they took the travel money away so that a few more football players could travel for a few more games. That school doesn't care a lick about anything outside of Football and Basketball and would cut every other sport if they could.[quote]coach
Combined track has an operating budget of $388,088, second most behind basketball and football. I very much doubt this was a "budget issue".
I saw him in Cheney yesterday. Playing tennis with the ROTC group after some margaritas on the soccer field during happy hour on a Thursday

Umm, wouldn't that make it third-most?
What is happening here? Their first indoor meet only had all field events and running events up to the 600m (the site noted first time ever running of that distance).
So did the ENTIRE distance team diddle some kiddles or what???
still no news wrote:

That meet is meant for sprinters and field event athletes. They have never run distance events there. Doesn't mean at thing....
I am also curious what is going on there? What did Zeller do? Will they advertise for a distance coach?
They used to run the 1600 ages ago.
Zeller is still listed on the website as a coach. If this is as bad as some are saying then why is he still there? There isn't anything on the local paper website either.
Starting to think the team got in trouble, not the coach.
