2. Being from Boston, this hurts, but Boston white trash accents are horrific. On women, it is pathetic.
I hate to say this, but Boston or NY accents on women are like a cheese grater to the ears.
I agree with Philly as the worst.
Many years ago, I lived in Georgia for about eight months. I was ready to fall in love every time a woman spoke to me down there. The Southern drawl went straight to my heart.
Anything that is NOT New England. Boston invented Freedom, Education, and the Marathon. Southern whiskey tango Frittatas should keep their mouths shut.
whatever it is that the 7-11 employees speak. Doesn't seem to be regional.

The Swedes and Poles that settled heavily in those cities are probably the reason.
Um, we Clevelanders don't have accents dude.
I was going to say New Jersey but then I saw "Ebonics," and I have to agree.

Spoken like someone who's never been out of the Midwest.
EVERYONE has an accent, moron.
Gawker recently had a "tournament" on this subject and Pittsburgh ended up being voted as having the worst accent in the US.

A woman with a southern accent sounds a bit sexy.
But a man with a southern accent can sound dumb.
But Andy Griffith sounded OK.
It depends on the person.
I can't get with the New England accents.
The Kennedys didn't sound great to me.
The whole east coast has a variety of accents that all can sound bad when compared to a national TV news person.

For me it probably has to be the Cajun accent.
Thoughts anyone?

Matthew McConaughey has the most annoying accent on the planet.

Out of all the Southern Accents, the Texan one might be my least favorite. That said, it is nowhere near as annoying as the Yankee Maryland accent.
I can deal with New York and Boston, but Maryland is the worst.
I also laugh when I hear people from the MidWest claim to have no accent.
At the end of the day, no one hates a classy Southern accent. Redneck southern accents are terrible, as are pure white trash accents, but those are merely parts of the Southern whole.
I equate it to how Prince William might sound a good deal different from some chav in a Edmonton, but they both have British accents.
American isn't English and all your accents are sh1te. I travelled overland across the US a few years ago on a Greyhound and have never heard such a bunch of dumba$$e$ in all my life. People who looked sort of intelligent and then spoke spoke some stupido unintelligible crap.
Sorry, you're a nation of fatties and thickos and speaking in whatever accents won't change that
1. Minnesota. A favorite whipping boy, for good reason. It's both the accent and the diction that drive me insane. Add in hockey jerseys, bad goatees and camo hats. Sing-songy and folksy. Puke.
2. Charlestown Boston. The true home of the Bawston accent. Like being jabbed in your eardrum. Like nails on a chaulkboard.
3. Fells Point Baltimore (Ball-mer). That weird nasally "O" sound. Irritating.
4. Female Kansas City midwestern. Pronouncing "backpack" as "byackpyack". Flattening out the "A" sound ridiculously.
5. Long Island. (Lawn-Gisland). Like a squawking bird.
I think the best accents are generally from the south:
1. Old school Creole. So cool.
2. Females from Nashville. It's the classy southern accent.
3. Females from Lubbock, Texas. I've always enjoyed women who know their way around a shotgun and know how to drive stick.
I HATE Southern accents (when to school in the South) but met a woman with a soft accent from Montgomery, Alabama and it was actually quite pretty. Was very different to the trash I've heard in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina.

I am not sure if you are kidding, but traveling by Grey hound is basically surrounding yourself with meth heads and socioeconomic failures. You were literally traveling with the dregs of society. I am not sure what the equivalent might be in Europe, but think of basing your opinion of the entire continent on a few hours spent in whatever the least dignified spot in London might be.

Really. I was under the impression that the NY accent was the most annoying.
Second is definitely Pittsburgh, though.
As a guy from Philly who now lives in Minnesota, I'd have to vote the true Philadelphia accent as way worse than anything I've heard in the midwest.
I honestly think it has more to do with the city than the accent, though. I can't stand Eagles fans, and I just associate the Philly accent with the fat, uneducated, angry Eagles fan.
On the flip side, people in Minnesota aren't nearly as uptight, and I haven't seen any stupid over the top videos of Prince trashing the Packers like the idiotic Bcoops video where he talks about how much he hates the Giants. While the accent can be a bit annoying, I find it a generally more pleasant place to live.
Addendum:
The Pittsburgh accent is just plain endearing:

Need female opinions: I’m dating a woman that is very sexual with me in public. Any tips/insight?
