I'm a high schooler coming out of base that built from 34-50 an this is my 3rd consecutive week being at 50 before I'm going to drop to 45-40 to ra race more comfortable. That is my background but you would think more endurance would be getting better but it doesn't feel like it at all. Some days I can go and hit 6:5X's (in the middle of my run NOT AVERAGE) with the same effort as a day like today where I struggled to keep 7:50 average. Maybe I'm not a morning runner or maybe it's my diet that consist of spaghetti, pizza, and cola this summer as my most eaten foods.
Oh yeh and for the instance of this run that I struggled on I even took a day off before to get a rest from a 12 mile long run that I felt terrible on.
