Hey there everyone how's it going. Ok so i'm doing my first marathon exactly a month from today. I have been puttin in 50-60mpw.
I ran a high 1:26 half marathon on a fairly hilly course back in Apr. For what it's worth I can run a 18:2x 5k..
My question is what pace do I shoot for in my first marathon? I'm pretty sure I can go sub 3:10 for Boston. Possibly sub 3:05. How do I know if i'm capable of a sub 3? Do i dare try it? I'm afraid of crashing and burning going for sub 3. Help appreciated.
By the way I'm not a high school track star i'm a middle aged man. Only been running a little over 2 yrs. keep in mind ;)
