I attempted to run Leadville 100 two days ago. It was my first 100. I've had a difficult year personally and struggled to train but I managed to. I was doing very well until about mile 35 when I blew out my quads. I taped them with duct tape and managed to power hike/hobble another 51 miles. I quit at the last aid because I could barely move. Now I'm
sitting here with blown quads and extremely swollen ankles beating myself up. How do I deal with a DNF? I've already resolved to conquer that beast again!
