scanman: damn that is a fast tempo! what is your goal race or distance, half?
bonham: yes those triples were tough. I worked 0700-1900. So I ran at 0530, 1200, and 1930. I only ran after the 30 bc I just got a new treadmill I wanted to test out haha. I just hope the gummy bears are fresh and easy to chew on race day!
renewed: I am not a professional or expert. So if you get any advise from a real Dr. or anyone do that haha. Those are just some things my coach has told me and I have found to be true for my body.
once: great 5k and to back it up with a nice long run! what are you using for HR monitoring? I do a lot on the treadmill. I would say it depends on the machine. Some can be fast, slow, or pretty close. I would just go by effort. If I am just doing an easy/recovery run I could really care less if it is 100% accurate. If anything easier the better. When I do workouts on them I try to add some incline or more speed. IF my body feels like it. Sometimes I just set it at whatever goal pace for the workout and 0% incline.
Distance Fan: I am from the Indy area and have ran the marathon twice. So if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Kendo: What kind of plan are you following for the halfs? This week looks more like it is for a 5k and not a half marathon. (I havent kept up on everyones traning for a while so maybe I just havent noticed your other weeks)
Blackfly: Ok that makes sense. Whatever works best for you is all that matters. I am sure you are very experienced but dont leave it all out there on a long traning run. Save it for the race. I have and known a few people that pushed to hard 3 weeks from the race bc they felt good and bombed.
