Sure glad Rupp ditched a national championship for this bullsh*t.
You do realize that Rupp won the 10000 title, right?
No kick from Rupp. Looked like poop at the end of the race.
True got absolutely obliterated as I predicted he would. Sad.

If you don't have anything snarky to say, then don't say anything at all.
Well, that was disappointing.
Typical. You could see that Rupp did not get into position behind the pacers early on and then the Ethiopians who got ahead of him slowed down and let the pacers go even well before that too slow first k in 2:36.5 (13:02.5 pace). Just very frustrating to watch these guys pull the same laziness every single race when they are paid a lot to put down a fast one, but they are all afraid to just follow the pacers and go for a fantastic time. That might get in the way of their running another meet every two or three days.
Great kick by Soi.
In hindsight Rupp maybe should have just gone with the rabbits. That would have forced the pace to be honest. The rabbits did their job, the field didn't go with them.
Either that or his best bet to beat the record is to have Alberto set up a time trial type deal at Stanford. In a real race like this, it is difficult.
That was awful. Ben True and that other dude could run as fast at Stanford in May without the professional pacemakers and incentives the diamond league offers.
I think the rabbits did that on purpose. They don't want to make it a race that Rupp can win. They were 11 seconds off the requested pace at 3000m. ELEVEN seconds. There's no way they can be that far off unless they're actually trying to be.
Dennis Reynolds 2.0,
Rupp won the 10k at USATF nationals, Ben True didn't even compete and yet you pick on Rupp? What's up with that?

Exactly. This race was boring as piss. Why can't they just follow the pacers?
Anymore distance events coming up?

Did you even watch the race??? 2:36 each k
JV boy True had no business out there today. Time to go back to the Maine clam races.

13:02 in a perfectly paced race with perfect weather is different than a real race.
True should have run nationals IMO.

So is Saladbar gonna throw a fit kicking and screaming because the pacers and racers apparently ganged up to prevent Ruppy from running fast.

How can your reading be so bad?
Rupp looked good but with 200 to go, he let himself get passed probably thinking he could come back. Then he lost a step and too much of a gap open to come back from.
Rupp was planning on swinging into lane 4 but the hurdles got in the way!!!
