I ran a marathon last year (woefully undertrained), got a stress fracture in my foot, and took a few months off to recover. When I started running again this winter I think I started too much too soon, as I was dealing with knee pain (not so much during runs but after). So I stopped running again. Now my knees seem better, and I ran once last week and things seemed fine. But now it's been over six months since I've been really healthy and feeling motivated. What can I do to get my motivation back? It's really depressing to be out of shape to the point where 2.5 miles is challenging, and I can't even bring myself to use MapMyRun because I'm so slow. Does anyone have advice on how to get motivated again?
