Easy 2 miles and short and fast strides.
3 miles very easy(22-24 min).
A mile or two of very easy warm up. A race-pace 400 about 15 minutes before the race. Then strides to keep loose.
Any race under a half marathon: 20 min warm up jog, bathroom break, drills, light jogging, then 5 min before the start of the race I start doing strides.
I do the same thing I do before workouts. Why change anything? If your workout warmup sucks, something is wrong.
