Does this qualify as throwing Ferrari under the bus? It is not like an Italian court did not find the same thing already. I do not see LA's statement as blaming Ferrari for it.
More surprised at some of the names not listed.

I question the usage of "ratted out" or even "outing" in this case. The fact is, like it or not, there are many people out in society who have never tried a PED in their lifetime. Ergo, we will never be able to reach the level of an Armstrong. However, here's what I have to say about this: USADA is not new. The Anti-Doping policies governing international competition are not new. If people who may have experimented with PEDs in high school, college, or subsequent to those period are okay with hiding this stuff, then that is on them. But those of us who never even had the inkling to try this garbage and still have the passion to run our pedestrian times look at these professionals as cheaters. As cheaters, they cannot possibly be exonerated for their behavior and, as a result, should not be able to hide any part of it. If people helped, let it be known. If people made suggestions and referrals, let them be known. I would hate to believe that, as athletes, we now have a "blue line" of our own where someone who "outs" someone is like Serpico. If you cheat, you are wrong. If you lie, you are wrong. If you take money while lying and then drag others through the mud (see New Zealand), you are wrong. But, chances are, you are and were not alone. Those who were part of it were wrong too. Cardio sports like running, swimming, cycling, triathlons, etc are nothing if cheating is at the forefront. The only thing that needs protection is the sport, itself. That is what matters.

Nutella, when did Canova call Ferrari a good man?

It's amazing that telling the truth under oath - so not committing perjury - is called throwing *** under the bus.
Society needs to get rid of the whole shame in snitching culture.

He's probably referring to this old thread rojo:
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5001176&page=1For what it's worth, I don't see Canova referring to Ferrari as a "good guy" anywhere in the thread. Rather, he is being baited to agree with a statement Lance made, and explains that "good guy" may mean something different to Lance than it does to him.
Hope that helps.

"I am sure Lance is the devil incarnate! Witch hunt! Witch hunt!"
Seriously, six hundred years ago, this is you.
Lance has some very redeeming qualities and has made some very horrible mistakes. Sounds like everyone else I know, only they aren't famous.
Get a job.

His views on Ferrari are favorable.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5001176&page=1As person, he's very pleasant when you can speak about general problems, being provided of great culture.
Also adores him for his "training achievements".
"Training", my azz.

From the linked thread
Nutella1: Renato, that did not answer my question.
I asked if you would agree that Mr. Ferrari is a good guy.
Canova: According to my moral principles, no.
WTF?
You really didn't understand Renato's answer, did you. (That's rhetorical).

I agree .. but wouldn't use the word "snitching" .. while people refer to telling the truth as snitching, that shame isn't going anywhere.
Someone like Ferrari wasn't "thrown under the bus", he was driving the damn thing. And when it crashes, guess whose to blame?

I'm loving this. I remember the good ol' threads when it was back and forth "You're all jus' jelly that he's THAT good of an athlete. He's SUCH an inspiration etc" Now we get to rail on the fanboys HOO HA! Harsh Reality hurts.

Amen!
I think Lance is a hero, and I will always respect him for his work with Livestrong. Everybody was cheating. We all are flawed are we not? Glass house

I think the point is, Armstrong has been railing against "snitches" himself. See the earlier post where someone quoted his claim about not being a pu**y like these "rats". And it turns out he is a rat, and therefore a pu**y.
Armstrong is a great source of satisfaction to me. Finally, a big fraud who got busted. Someone who had it their way for years and years, seeing that what goes around comes around. Everything he says - and his word used to be taken so seriously - is now being shoved back in his face and shown to be wrong.
Name one other rider who cheated that destroyed as many careers and lives as LA. I'll take one name. Even this world is not fouled up enough for LA to qualify as a hero.

Codependence.
If it was "only" just cheating against his fellow riders, then you might have a point.Even his work at Livestrong was not quite what everyone seemed to think it was.
