I live down South, and the backlash from the alleged knockout game is really, REALLY bad news for us distance runners.
I don't know about you, LRCers, but rarely a day goes by when I don't accidentally scare someone from accidentally sneaking up on them on a run. I try to say, "on your right" or, "on your left," but that really doesn't work very often.
With the gun nuts out there, especially here in Tennessee, calling for a 'shoot before you think' policy if scared, I promise it won't be long until one of us runners end up dead for just this reason.
Mark my words.
