Where is the best, cheapest place to train at altitude for a summer? I had heard Laramie, WY, Alamosa, CO, etc. How would one go about living and training somewhere like this for a while? Has anybody had any experience with this?

I don't know how old you are, but during college I and a teammate got a job at a soccer camp in the Sierra Nevadas about an hour north of Truckee. As "counselors" we had to take care of the kids when they were not at practice. The kids practices twice a day, morning and evening session. This left ample time for us to train.
That summer was my best summer of training ever and not only did I get to do it for free, but I actually got paid to boot. If you are young, I'd look into something like this. Even if you are already established in a job, you could probably do this since it seems you have the time to jet off for the summer.
