Jim Ryun was undoubtedly an amazing athlete with crazy talent, and he agreed that he was probably overtrained and possibly capable of running faster-but I don't want this thread to dispute his coach's methods like a previous thread. The point is that Ryun was clean and he was an insane talent.
Why is it that people on here find it so hard to believe that top athletes are clean? Training knowledge is easier to access than ever, technology has skyrocketed since the 1960s, combine that with somebody training at altitude with other top athletes, and if that person is of the same caliber of talent of Ryun then it really doesn't seem so hard to believe that they are clean.
Namely I am referring to Mo Farah, Bekele, Geb, and El G, who have ran amazing times, and though anything is certainly possible, I believe that they are clean and given the advantages that present day athletes have, their times don't seem all that absurd.
