Bol smashed her 100m PB yesterday in an event she hardly ever runs. 11.47 (-0.3) is a decent time and appropriate for someone that ran 22.6 indoors over 200m. With a slight more positive wind she might have dipped into the 11.3s.
30 mins later she ran 150m, in 17.10
Lieke Klaver equalled her 100m PBof 11.33 in a different heat, and won the 150m in 16.96.
that 11.47 converts to 11.34 with a +2.0 tail wind. 11.34 in the 100m is generally about 23.2 in the outdoor 200m. Sha Carri just run 23.11 this past weekend.
Huh? Bol ran 22.64 indoors. If she’s in any kind of form she would have obviously smoked Sha’carri in both of those DLs, because Sha’carri’s results were just really poor.

Let that sink in.

I didn't want to come out and say she would be running faster than the reigning 100m world champ. My conversions were intentionally conservative. But I was also using the versions of Bol and ShaCarri who ran this weekend. Richardson ran well under 22 last year. So, the 22.64 from Bol doesn't get her anywhere near that.
But in case anyone else misses the point: Bol, a 400m/h specialist, is currently in shape to give one of the fastest women EVER over 200m a challenge: which is incredible.

I know who I'll be cheering for in the 400 hurdles in Paris.
I just think that Bol is better for the sport. If other athletes of her caliber would get out there and race (and at a variety of distances) it would help the sport's popularity.

ScR’s 200 results haven’t been great this year but then again, she is much better in the 100, imho.
With the 22.08 that Gabby Thomas ran at the end of March at the Texas Relays, she seems to be well ahead of an 200 sprinter from the States right now. Abby Steiner made her 200 season debut this past weekend, winning easily in 22.71 (+3.0). Her high school PR is nearly that fast (22.73) so I’m not quite sure to make of her form right now. Her injury last season was significant so her best appt is to come back slowly.
Back to Bol, I would have to think that Syd would easily beat her over 200. As much as I like Bol, she will not beat Syd at any event they go head to head in this season, the 400 or the 400h.

A trained, practiced and prepared Syd is a different animal. Agreed. 2022 Syd is a top 5 and field athlete EVER. But, nobody knows what version of Syd will show up. Bol will be ready, and if Syd isn't sharp she will be beaten.

22.64 indoors means she can run much faster than that outdoors. Of course Bol is clearly better at 200 than 100 so your conversion didn't make sense, but of course she's not on shacarri's level

No, it's not incredible at all. It just means that Sha'Carri isn't in good shape right now.
Say what you like, this is far from a great 100 for Bol. Felix went 10.89 and still never went below 49 for 400. Bol might do it, but not based off this recent 100.

Oh, and 🖕
The 🤡 was for your "she's a mom" comment. It's trite, tired, and really not all that funny.

Alright alright, I said it jokingly, but point taken. Carry on.
What has Felix's time over 100m, in a season where she was focusing on the 100 & 200, got to do with Bol running a 100m PB when focussing on the 400mh?
On top of that, Bol is already faster than Felix over 400m, so again, I see no relevance.
I also don't understand the comparison to SCR. They are completely different athletes specialising in different events with completely different physiques.
