Didn't even watch the interview and I know what happened based on thread title. Interviewer was subtly racist, Denzel was cool confident and collected and called the interviewer on his racism.
Denzel is the man bro.
First of all, the interview is cut and edited so we have no idea if anything tipped the scale to irritate Denzel. But Denzel is very well-known to not like talking about himself. So he's curt with answers when the questions deal with him. You saw how the tone and attitude changed drastically when he got to talk about other actors. This is nothing, really.
Think Denzel may be a racist who didn't like that cracker interviewer. I work with a guy who's like that. Tress me like shit until I keep treating him well as he tests my patients. Eventually he'll start behaving like a civilized person. I've always thought he was a self-centered racist.
You guys have to understand, when you are as big a star as he is, I don't care how nice you are, or how good a person you are, it is going to get to your head eventually. Everyone wants to talk to him, wants him in his movies, his agent probably gets 100 scripts on his desk per day. He also probably gets a percentage of the box office for every film he is in.
Why would you even start a thread like this?

Well, you didn't even watch it. I watched it and as a non-black and non-white guy, he was either borderline too playful or slightly jerkish or confrontational.
Just because somebody is the same race as you doesn't mean that you should automatically agree with his stance. That is the vibe I get from your posts. Black=I agree with him. Not-black=don't like.
Unfortunately when you interview any type of highly successful artist, you never know what you are going to get. Denzel has never liked interviews and rarely do them; perhaps he should stick to that.

Not necessarily. Some famous people are bland and give you the stock answer every time. Like in tennis interviews after matches, boring as heck.
I've seen a few interview with Denzel and I thought he was ok in them. Normal, nice guy. In the linked video maybe they just picked the worst scenes or cut it to make him look bad. I don't know.
No, no, no. wrote:

You must be new here.
I think he gave a more honest interview than most.
