Also someone put words in my mouth somewhere back there saying a female 6k runner does not need 100mpw. I agree, but going from 40 to 70 over the next few years would be a good way to go. And since she will most likely focus 10k in track... 70 or more would be ideal. But 40 isn't going to keep her improving the way more would.
Even look at a supertalent like Cheserek, he was a really good high school runner at 50 miles a week. Now he runs 80, and that leap took him all the way to the win.
