When I am not specifically training for anything (I'm a half and full marathon type of guy with an occasional ultra thrown in) I tend to do a tempo run each week that is a 7 or 8 mile run with about 25 minutes of it done at tempo pace (for me in the 6:30 range). Is this too short for a weekly tempo? I find it is a decently hard workout and I'm tired after those 25 minutes but could obviously do more (as I often will during marathon training).
