You see nothing wrong with this?
What if they told a black person they were going to make them experience slavery again. Still nothing wrong with it?

I am a full blood enrolled member of the Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with this.
Stop taking Indians so seriously and acting like you owe us something special to try and make up for the past. We don't want your sympathy and quite frankly im sick of people protesting Indian mascots and Indian stereotypes in general. Its extremely hard to offend me in any way, shape, or form. I think this banner is great and I am thrilled that todays teenagers even have the slightest clue of what the trail of tears was.
America is turning into a bunch of cry babies that are too quick to apologize to people of color, especially towards Indians.
I was pretty surprised too that today's teenagers heard of "The Trail of Tears". Even 30 years ago when I was in high school slaughtering Native Americans as late as 1890 wasn't even brought up in history class. Too much of a bummer.
So they took it back? I think there is a term for that. Some kind of giver.
I teach 5 minutes from this school. I'm just happy they spelled everything right.

I'm not sure whether or not you realize this, but you don't speak for all of us. You speak for yourself and only yourself and have no idea how others feel about the issue.
The accused team is playing the Southside-Gadsden Panthers in the next round of the playoffs. What should the cheerleaders' sign say?

Since they are history buffs maybe something about Emma Sansom leading the way?

Yeah. The hell with centuries of complete bondage and systemic discrimination experienced by black people; the hell with the total destruction of the Indian way of life, the theft of all their lands, the near genocide of their people.
Both these groups, mired in devastating poverty, need to quit their whining.
We need instead to bend over backwards to service the desires of the true victims in our society, those rich white Jews
1. I highly doubt there is a single student in this entire Alabama school that is enrolled in any tribe. I would also bet that there is no enrolled tribal member within 75 miles of where this school is located. It is very likely that no American Indian is anywhere near the proximity of this event in order to be offended.
2. How many white people in America do you think are intentionally out to "harm" American Indians? Even the ones who wear a headdress at a Redskins game, do you really think they have a desire to HARM some little Indian kids feelings and make fun of his culture? For the very last time, when white people wearing Indian clothes, they are not mocking it. They are HONORING it.
3. All of these attacks on mascots and Indian culture is a direct attack on the 1st amendment of the constitution and free speech rights.
4. Once again, the only reason you hate Indian stereotypes is because you are ashamed of who you are and have no pride. If you had no shame and nothing to hide, then you wouldn't be so offended anytime someone does anything in regard to Indians. I also think you are probably anti-powwow. Don't come at me with the excuse that Indian clothing is sacred. Ive heard that too many times. You don't just want "Indians" to dress up like Indians. You don't want anyone to dress up like Indians because you want the entire image of the Indian to become extinct.
5. I have just as much right to speak on this issue as the next Indian, yet you and the rest of the media have hypnotized America into thinking that all Indians are stupid and overly liberal and quick to get offended.
6. The Blackfoot did not do the Trail of Tears, so why do you care?
7. The politically correct morons are the same ones who wont even let Indians call themselves Indians. They continue to change the name of what we are allowed to call ourselves. Just like to the way you lie to America about the history of the word Redskin. Indians invented the word Redskin. We called ourselves Redskin and Redman in order to distinguish ourselves from white, black, brown. But go ahead and keep lying to the world and say that the white man made it up just to make whites look worst than they really are. I am glad people want to dress up like Indians and it shows me how much they admire our culture. Atleast Indians have a culture. Whites have no culture, so how would one dress up like a white man?
All of this is coming from me, a full blood Sac and Fox from Oklahoma. Soon there will be no image or tradition left for Indians because you have SCARED EVERYONE AWAY FROM IT. you want to sit there and scare people from ever mentioning or dressing or even thinking about the old ways. it will be the quick to get offended Indians that cause the extinction of our culture. I know deep down the ways of my own people and I will always let others practice them because obviously you don't want them practiced. You will never change the true history of Indians, my tribe, or my great home state, Home of the Proud Red People.
Long live the Red People. You will never succeed at exterminating our image with your political correctness and white guilt.
