If you measured the power that she uses/generates during an entire marathon and compared it to an efficient marathoner, you would be amazed by how much more it takes for Jeptoo. However, for a runner this late, it is usually catastrophic to try to amend a running form.
Have you actually done this, or is this just your opinion?

Moron, how do you measure that power?
Isn't she coached by Canova?

This is common sense! She has to use an enormous amount of energy to keep her balance in addition to what she uses to run. This girl would run 2:14 or better if there was a way to improve her form without hurting her performance. She is way better than Mary Keitany!
...then that's even more awesome than expected.
This is theoretical and it is based on the fact that a lot of energy is wasted if a runner creates unnecessary movements, or does things that slow you down such as knocking knees or ankles. I also find it strange that you cannot fathom anyway that this theory can be tested. I am not a physiologist or biomechanics guy but I am pretty sure one can estimate this if you have the tools to measure certain performance outputs. I can also think of an even easier way by having you run a 5k with some extra weight on you back. I can also have you run a 5k with your feet assuming a supination or pronation positions, as well and have you compare you times with normal running form for the same distance/course.
You mean to say that you don't have a f*ing clue. That's ok.
There's no more energy wasted in sideways motion than in back and forth movement.
Measure the energy used by Jeptoo or any other strange looking elite runner during a marathon and there will be no correlation to performance the one or the other way.
You don't possess any common sense, you're just an idiot.
Salazar could fix her in only 5 miles a day

That's a nice theory but Jack Daniels has done some actual measurements and experienced observers were not able to visually tell which running styles were most efficient.
get her to Alsal - she will be running sub-4.00 for 1500m very soon. That will translate to sub-2h15 within a year under his tutelage. Look what he has done for Mary Cain (will run sub-3.55 next year), and Mo Farah (will run sub-12.30/26.00/2hrs).
Last I checked, Salazar does not have a degree in biomechanics, and while he talks about changing ones natural running form he truly ant do this via email. This is just a smokescreen.
Does anyone have evidence of running form changing in his athletes?
A question for the form fetishizers: Did you ever stop to wonder if maybe, just maybe, Jeptoo has actual structural/biomechanical as in issues that cause the knock knees and flailing leg that nothing short of lopping off limbs and reattaching them would ever change? Those kinds of form issues aren't going to be solved by someone pointing out to she or her coach that her form needs work followed by some drills.

AKA doped to the gills. Only way to explain his ludicrous views on African blood doping
You can tell when someone is overwhelmed by how "passionate" their response is.
Does AlSal's head explode watching her run that way, thinking of the ways he could improve her form? Kim Smith and Jeptoo should go give Alberto a tough challenge.
What would running with an added 5k prove? More weight slows you down no matter what your form.In the real world they have looked into the effieceny of various runners. Things like flailing the arm and the the other crap has no correlation with efficient use of oxygen. Maybe they would be even more efficient if they didn't do it or maybe they are needed to balance out something else. By the way your examples suck. Of course excess weight will slow you down. That has nothing to do with form. And making someone slower with form changes isn't hard. Try making someone faster. You will see lot of stories of people trying stuff. You pretty much never see drastic success stories.

You have to include Paula Radcliffe in this list.
It is such a pain to watch Kim and Paula run. It is like they want to stop or they will just stop but they keep on running.
Prisca's style is not as bad, in my opinion, but it is weird.
She won 625,000 today. She can lend you money and if you refuse to pay her, she'd chase you down the street in that running style and get you.
Just watch out.
By comparison, Deba's form looked flawless.
