out of sheer morbid curiosity, i wonder what would happen if we put carol lewis and bob neumeier in a lab and forced them to mate. what would the children end up like?
my goodness neumeier is horrible; his all-time low came when repeatedly asking Muna Lee if she was aware of/named after the late poet and feminist Muna Lee. She looked at him with a glare that said "what are you talking about, jackass?" He didn't let it die however, and ended the interview by bluntly asking her if she was named after the poet.
You'll notice he ends all interviews extremely awkwardly, usually going sans segueway into "good luck."

Saw that. Afterward, Tom Hammond tried to lighten the mood a bit with a nervous crack about Neumeier reaching for the "bottom of the research manual."

Neumeier co-hosts the 10-12 shift on Sports Radio WEEI in Boston. Not until this year had I ever heard him say anything about track.
