We all know outdoor track is the main sport we are talking about. Do they run cross at the Olympics? The only people that really care about cross country are the runners them selfs. Ask the average joe what cross country is and they would have no idea. People just don't care about a bunch of skinny guys running a 10k. That's a fact. Henry cares about his cross country team but he is a sprint coach and that is the kind of teams he will put together. McDonnell won most of his track championships with distance guys and a few great jumpers. That was the type of team he put together. That team was also capable of winning cross country titles.. So your point is irrelevant. No doubt McDonnell did a great job so this thread is no knocking anybody, rather commending the great coaching styles if you will. So, shut the front door please
