its not like US had our top dogs either.

withholding joy until I see results....saw True in 6th, Derrick sprinting for 8th or 9th, Vail in 17th (great run for him). They were VERY close to Kenya at ~10k.

Imagine what could have been if some of the pretty boys that the Americans have (Rupp, Ritz, Teg, Jager, Lagat.....) had made the commitment to come. Could they have won the gold medal?
I was thinking that the whole race! Honestly- they're pro's, they need the money and is a two race commitment- Nationals and Worlds. How much money would it take to get those guys there.
If we were able to give them a "salary" so to speak, then bonus money for place how much would it take per athlete?
Damn Ritz. Damn Teg.
Just think, guys. Just think about it.
US is second! 52 points. Kenya in third with 54.

their page is a mess
F*cking ridiculous.
http://i.imgur.com/Kx7qkn1.pngAmericans were winning their battles at the end too. Put them over the top for second maybe.
I wonder if he's kicking himself now for now going. I mean this was probably his best chance at a team XC medal. But now he gets nothing.
The two Mainers; McClintock and True lead the way as the first non-East Africans in the mens junior and senior races.

I am really really really loving this bio passport thing.

No don't think about it. The US men actually won the silver! Everything else is hypothetical and doesn't matter.

I thought Ben True was from Vermont.
Holy Crap! Ben True for 6th (last money spot) and CD in top 10, lead us to 2nd! What an awesome run and great performances. You guys did yourselves very proud, all the guys. All the teams were great, running in sloppy conditions, but esp. these guys. Very gutsy, and well-earned 2nd place prize money, too.
Got to see the last lap after snow shoveling, and was thinking of their efforts the whole time I was moving the white, heavy, stuff. Congrats to all!
Damn Ritz & Teg, but don't let Rupp off the hook so easy.
BOBBY MACK 19th and the 4th finisher for the US! What a race.
I wonder how much True's XC skiing background helped him out here. He was world class in both, had to actually make a decision about one or the other at Dartmouth, right?
Cam WHOOOOO????
WHat a turd he turned out to be and all his worshippers were wrong.
