If I ran a 8:25 3k indoors this year with solid steeple form what could I run in the 3000 steeple this outdoors.

Depends on your hurdle technique. I've always heard that a good steeplechaser can expect to be around 20 seconds off their 3000 time. Unfortunately, for me, if I wasn't getting caught up in the water, I was being inefficient and wasting energy over the barriers, and my late season steeplechase times were typically around 30 seconds slower than the times I had run late season indoors. Early season 3000 vs early season steeple were even worse since I'd have to re-remember how to race over the water pit.
Rule of thumb:
Steeple time is the same as your 3200/2 Mile time. It usually works out.
Good Stuff, Thank you.

And this implies closer to 9:00 if you are good in the steeple. However, not everyone can be like Jager.
