http://sports.yahoo.com/news/7-schools-leaving-big-east-193153916--ncaaf.htmlJust skimmed this article. Looks like the catholic schools that do not have football are leaving the Big East to form their own "new basketball conference".
My question is, will the xc and track programs for these schools still compete in the Big East or will all sports programs at these schools compete under the newly formed conference.
Well that probably means that Boise State is going to back out on their Big East commitment. Especially if they can talk BYU into going back into the Mountain West (they are apparently trying, as well as trying to get San Diego State to go back). And Doubly Especially since the Big East lost their automatic BCS bid. S'ok. The MWC was a better football conference than the Big East (before BYU, Utah and TCU all left right when Boise State joined. Then it becomes a decent football league again with BSU, Nevada, BYU, San Jose State, Fresno State
