While it's still early, where might these studs go?
Baxter is pretty quiet, she doesn't seem like the type to go across the country. She also is a good but not fantastic student. When she won the CA Gatorade award it said she had a 3.3 GPA. But she is once in a generation good so a school like Stanford would still take her. However... Oregon, Washington, and Colorado all seems like safe bets. Since she is so XC focused and will probably become a high mileage 10k runner, Colorado seems like it would be a good fit for her.
Cain is a little harder to pinpoint with her Salazar affiliation. Assuming she stays with him, She will probably go to Oregon in order to be close. She could always stay close to home and go to Villanova. Then again who knows if she will even compete in the NCAA. It doesn't seem like XC is very important to her.
PS...Baxter will win easily this Saturday but Cain will get her in the spring. They are very different runners and can't beat the other in their specialty.
