Anaerobic Conditioning = Lactate Threshold
Anaerobic Capacity = Lactate Tolerance/Lactic Acid Buffering
Aerobic Conditioning = Steady State/Long Runs/ Uptempo
Aerobic Capacity = Vo2max work/intervals
To the coach above that says high school runners shouldn't go above 60mpw...I think the transition to college running and beyond for these runners could be rough. Imagine if a hs runner could get closer to their potential with higher mileage at a younger age...
