First of all, there is no way she runs ahead of Jeter, Madison or Felix. She can complain all she wants to about the Felix situation but with a running start, there may not be another woman on this planet faster than she is with top end speed.
So it comes down to her and one other person. If the coach thinks the other person is better for the team then that is his choice. Tarmoh needs to get over it. She helped get the team to this point so just move on, get your medal and try and get better. Stop blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings Jeneba.
Tarmoh probably had a slot on at least the prelim relay until her horrific performance at Monaco: Caused Felix to almost slow to a walk because Tarmoh didn't get going soon enough, and then failed to make the pass to Jeter.
Drummond certainly knows that if Tarmoh can't make the pass (again) in the prelims, there won't be any final. Safe thing is to keep her out.

If they were really looking out for USA's best interests they'd take Pharmalita Jeter off the team. When she tests positive the whole team will lose their medals.
Thats a good point. But I think pharmalita is clean right now.
Jenebah will drop the batton if she's allowed to run. She's a nut case.

I'm watching the heats right now. What's up with Tarmoh's hair?
I'd go with Madison, Felix, Knight, and Jeter

She went to the beauty shop and asked for the Tonto.
do they ever take into account the chances that one will get popped and dq the whole team? it would be pretty comical if jeter got left off because the coaches were worried about her dq'ing the team with a failed test.
Shouldn't Felix run third, around the turn?

And I thought letsrunners were the biggest whiners on the plants. Tarmoh wins a Gold medal for whining. She also, impressively, wins the Silver and Bronze. A whining medal sweep.
Your kidding right?
I'll admit I'm talking off of pure emotion here. I just got back from dinner and know no actual facts but when I read that, my first reaction was, "I hope there is some way she can file a lawsuit."
How in God's name can they leave off a women that got royally screwed? If anything, they should just run the same team that ran today. They almost got the OR.
People talk about her whining? Well wouldn't you whine? You were told you were an Olympian. Then got screwed as they didn't do the drawing of straws (which was in the rule book as the USA final was nothing more than the 1st round of the Olympics) despite what anyone says.
The public sentiment should be 100% behind her. Period.
The relay team is gonna have any medal they get returned anyway after Jeter ends up being caught as a cheat.
So Tarmoh isn't missing out too much. The rest of the athlets should just protest to have Jeter removed from the relay.
The prior poster was right. Letsrunners are the biggest whiners, especially one of the founders. If I did not know better I'd think rojo was about 16 with this post.
The fact that a wrong initial decision was made does not make her screwed any more than the girl who was in bronze position in gymnastics before the protest was filed that resulted in the American score being adjusted and replacing her. Mistakes happen. You can be adult about it, or juvenile. She has been juvenile, and so are you.
Last night there was a protest that resulted in a gymnast sitting in bronze position being knocked down when a scoring error was corrected and the American ended up moving to bronze. Was the person knocked down "screwed" because her hopes had been raised by an error, and the error subsequently corrected?
No. The only person screwed is one where the error is not corrected and the wrong person ends up on top.
Grow up Rojo, I'd think you were 16 from this post.
To start with, it's "you're."Beyond that, I did not see it but no one seems to be arguing with the stipulation that she blew a handoff in Monaco. If that is true then we need to remember what the USA has taught us numerous times before: relays are not about putting the four fastest people on the track. Relays are won by the best baton passers. if she blew her dress rehearsal, she's out. Great coaching decision.

Screw Tarmoh. If I was her, I would certainly be disappointed by what happened at the Trials. But if they told me I actually tied and had to race Felix head-to-head, I'd say "Fine. Bring me that bitch. It's on." Instead, Tarmoh backed down and whines about unfair life is.
The great British golfer Harry Vardon said, "There are only two types of players- those who keep their nerves under control and win championships, and those who do not."
Some athletes face adversity and relish the opportunities to overcome obstacles. Some do not.

I think they should run the same team with the exception of letting Jeter anchor.
I don't agree she was screwed. She screwed herself and continues to do so.

It seems Tarmoh is not going to be on the 4x100m relay final lineup at these Olympic games.
She let off a series of tweets about the issue:
Her first Tweet read, “USATF boy. Never been this upset in my life. Time for a change.”
That was followed almost immediately by a second Tweet reading, “Got third at trials and still gotta deal with politics. smh...” the abbreviation meaning shaking my head.
A third successive Tweet read, “Wow..life isn't fair. My time will come.” About an hour after that, Tarmoh Tweeted, “Enough is enough.”
The Olympics is not the time for these types of tweets; someone needs to make her aware of that.
I have to agree with Rojo on this one.
Tarmoh ran the race of her life EXACTLY WHEN SHE NEEDED TO to finish the 100 in 3rd. She and everybody else knew she couldn't run that race again and beat Felix.
Felix ended up getting a mulligan on that race.
They should take Jeter out otherwise any medal will be taken back in about 6 months - 1 year.
