I have a feeling Jordan is well protected coach wise. She will do fine, with or without a coach.

Jordan has been running in races since fourth grade. Then the Junior Olympics, then high school, now college.
She has never lost a beat. I would think at this point in her career she has seen it all, been there, done that, and can virtually coach herself? What do you all think?
Couldn't get much worse - stagnated for 4 years.
The best environment for Hasay would be Mammoth or Flagstaff where she would have the best training partners, trails, running culture, and coaches to take her to the next level.
She would definitely prosper under Alberto Salazar. Hopefully she can have a great senior season, then begin focusing on the next step. So much potential here.
What about Oregon alum Brad Hudson, if he can get along with Vinny?
Meth in Eugene lol no tweakers here in Eugene Oregon only the best pot in the Country if not the world.
Meth has destoyed Eugene and Springfield. Meth use is a major epidemic in the entire state.
I agree, she will benefit from training at altitude.
Get that 5000m time down ~ 15:10 in the next year or so.
Have you heard the rumor that Anthony Curran will be the PV asst. at Oregon, replacing Ashcroft, and Art Venegas will be the throws coach, replacing Robt. Weir?
If they could get those two Calif. guys to move to the cool, damp PNW they could hardly hire better event coaches.
Venegas would seem a very good possibility because he has always enjoyed Hayward Field and Eugene. Is he looking for a job? They will probably pay him better in Eugene as an assistant than UCLA was willing to pay him as a head coach. Don't know much about Anthony Curran's situation...is he working? I'd say it is less likely that Oregon would pay to bring in a top one-event coach. Both these guys might be intrigued by a new Indoor complex in Eugene.
Doubt it. Curran is rich from surfing and other outside activities. Venegas gets a pension from UCLA and has a full stable of throwers already.

Cross Country and Indoor Track and Field are not major international sports.
The IAAF has already posted the schedule for next year and no meets were cancelled and no meets will be cancelled. The dates for 2014 are also set...stay in Eugene.

NYC (Icahn) was definitely a flop and will not get a repeat. Eugene, on the other hand, had another excellent meet this year and was one of the more lucrative for the Diamond League folks. IAAF has rated the 2012 Pre Classic as #4 of the series. In 2011 it was rated #2. Eugene will positively be part of the series for many years to come.
