So here's the issue. I have been running for a smaller DIII liberal arts school in Pennsylvania for the past three years. The school itself is not a running powerhouse by any means but I chose to attend because I liked the coach. After two years though, he left to pursue another head coaching position in Ohio and has since been replaced by a guy who barely has any type of running experience, other than to say he ran "DI" in college. Under his tenure, I've seen some of my best friends been force to quit or got kicked off because they didn't abide exactly by his program. The team is strongly divided and no one in the athletic administration is willing to deal with the problems he has caused. I dread going to practice now and hate working with this guy. I have the opportunity to transfer to a much better school with a very strong running program. In terms of academics, I would still be able to graduate within a year and I don't think I would suffer in terms of credits being transferred.
I probably should mention too that I basically train alone at my current school. The school I'm considering transferrig to has far more depth. So would it be worth it to take a chance and try to find happiness elsewhere, or should I stick it out and make the best of a bad situation (something I've been trying to do for a year now).
