Let's get real here, WTC lovechild Van Voorhis is not going to be a varsity runner for UW this fall. Ahmed, Darling, and Connor are the clear top 3. Tim Nelson will be their fourth guy. He's had an incredible year, is both strong and fast, and races with huge stones. Brill, Shields, Erschen, Hatz, Brice, and Finnerty are also better than Van Voorhis. Yes these guys have had some injuries, but cross is still several months away and they'll be back. This isn't like the UW women's team where a WTC member jumped up and was immediately one of the fastest Badgers. Van Voorhis ran a great 5K this spring, but he's not going to be toeing the line in Louisville in November.

He is an unusual walk-on. Ran for the WTC and put in better times than some of the secondary guys at the XC race. Eventually they found a way to get him on the roster.
He is from Minnesota and is probably one of those guys that matured late so his improvement rate now is better than many.
15:01 for 5k in 2011 to 14:08 5k in 2012 with 6 months of badger training under his belt, that's f***ing improvement. Can't wait to see this guy in cross.
Ashley Eckhoff.

Taylor Wardall of Oklahoma is transferring to UW I hear. Jeeze man, Oklahoma is one of those schools. They bring in fast transfers but fail to develop kids out of High school.
Any updates to the roster? Nothing on uwBadgers.com
Russ Sandvold
This is a big in state recruit.
