Why is it then I can't find the Stanley Cup Playoffs on tv to save my life but every other channel is the NBA Playoffs?
1-NFL
2-MLB
3-NBA
4-NHL
(Not trying to bash hockey, I love hockey, but it's not watchable if I can't even find it on tv to watch!)
The early rounds of the NHL playoffs are on NBC Sports (formerly Vs. formerly OLN)

This is the only acceptable answer
1. NFL
2. NBA
3. NHL
4. MLB
If i followed hockey more it could be #1. I can know nothing about two teams playing and lose my shit watching overtime playoff hockey. The possessions are so short you have no time to breathe and obviously it's sudden death in OT. Unfortunately, you've got to go out of your way to follow hockey now. Back when it was on ESPN it seemed like it was gaining steam and really taking off. I'm a little shocked ESPN dropped it for whatever reason.
People love to hate on the NBA. Well, the playoffs are badass. It's some of the best athletes on the planet playing balls out. Not sure what's not to like. The regular season seems about 20 games too long and can be boring though.
Baseball is considered a sport now?
In that case, my ranking system is something like:
1. Tennis
2. Running
3. Cycling
4. NBA
5. World Cup Soccer
15. NFL
16. NHL
17. MLB
Yeah that's more than 4, oh well.

you can't pick out 5 extra minutes in a 60 minute regular game to say that a month and a half of playoffs are exciting.
by that measure the nba is because oh the excitement and agony of defeat in that last second miss in the lakers game last night.
Baseball is because oh man the 8th-10th innings of game 6 in the world series were the stuff legends are made of.
There's something about sudden death man. It's holy shit balls edge of you seat crazy until somebody scores. To me there is nothing like it.
I get your point though.

I believe you have to have watched your fair amount of each sport to give a completely, correct, factual, and unbiased assessment.
In addition, my rankings are based on the postseason.
I have also incorporated a numerical system (100 = max excitement, 70 = very watchable, 0 = puts you to sleep).
1. NFL (95)
2. NHL (90)
3. NBA (85)
4. MLB (70)

0. NHL
0. NBA
0. MLB

Haven't watched a playoff game, in any of them, in many years. What a boring waste of time, hours that could be spent *doing* stuff.

One of the most idiotic posts i've read all year.
MLB is number one. But I am a baseball fan.
1. MLB
Not really a big football fan. Love college basketball but don't really follow NBA. I never watch hockey on tv, but I'll admit it was really fun the one live game I went to.
I guess I would say.
2.NFL
3.NBA
4.NHL
but college basketball would be by far my 2nd choice and far above NFL. Ninja Warrior would be there as well. International soccer would be above NFL as well.
I was at the Staples Center when the Kings swept the Blue last Sunday. One of the most exiting games (in any sport) I have ever witnessed. Hockey is awesome.

I can't stand baseball...I would rather watch paint dry.

I can't get into hockey at all. I would say the PGA is a major one too. I love watching the majors and bigger events.
