because that's the way to solve racism, just leave huh. you sadden me brother, you really do
It's not racist to have wanted Chris Derrick to beat Lalang. Derrick is American, and most people who come to this site are American as well. I'm sure the Canadians were rooting for Levins and the Kenyans for Lalang. It has (I won't say nothing because some people are racist) very little to do with race. It has to do with nationality mostly I think.
To illustrate my point, this quote is from the Lagat 3k champ thread:
First: Congratulations to Lagat for the excellent win!
A distant Second: Suck on that wooden medal, Farah!
Lalang was the overwhelming favorite in both events...seemingly head and shoulders above everyone else...Derrick ran his heart out trying to beat the giant...he gets major props for trying to take it to Lalang.
Lalang...this dude is going to be a wreking ball on the world scene shortly!

He takes down Rupp in 2 years!!
Maybe not ANY years in the 5000.
Derrick just ran 7:46.
Rupp ran 7:57 in Albuquerque.
I see the NCAA altitude adjustment difference between Albuquerque and Billings MT (3100' compared to 2800' at Boise) as 8 seconds. Now Rupp used lousy strategy in Albuquerque and would have been closer if he sat on Lagat like Derrick did with Lalang.
Derrick's last:
800: 2:06
400: 56
200: 27!
He lost by 0.17. He was sitting there in perfect position to strike, but just couldn't seal the deal.
So your saying the 400m from 800 to 400 to go he ran a 70???

RUPP ALSO RAN AN 8:09 TWO MILE (7:32-33) IF YOU WEREN'T AWARE YET
I wonder if the video of NCAA indoors will ever surface? The main link everyone keeps posting is expired/not working. There is another link that works if you enter your username and password for your cable company. I don't know mine and I want to watch the NCAA races. This is outrageous how hard it is to watch the meet. Just put it on flotrack or youtube! Or at least show it on ESPN and let people that don't have cable pay for it.
I'm so angry that there has been nothing about how difficult it is to watch NCAA's. Letsrun should mention it on the front page. People that missed the races and don't have cable want to PAY to watch it online. Let's make that happen. WTF
This sport sucks

Don't know who is posting what or if this will work for you but I just go here:
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index/_/startDate/20120310/#type/replay/Scroll to the very bottom and click on whichever day you want to watch. I have not had to enter any username, password or pay anyone anything to watch the full coverage.
more like Derrick the bawler! booo hoo, 2nd place again...
