Isn't Van Dalen about 30 years old?
Pretty sure van Dalen came to the States as soon as possible. Pretty low blow saying she is old when she is a fairly normal age for a 5th year and will finish soon still as a 23yo. Could have easily done what a lot of internationals doing and waited another year.
Of note, at her weak conference meet she doubled winning the mile in 4:36 and backing it up a couple of hours later with a 9:17 3k which she closed in a silly 2:48 last k. That was all about simulation for ncaa's
This race is to hard to pick for me. It's the woman's version of the mens mile.
I should hope that some of you doubting Katie Flood will see reason after the DMR last night. Being an Iowa native and long time fan of hers, Infeld and D'Agostino worry me in a lot of ways, but I think anyone running the mile tonight will be left behind in the 3k...at least by the end. Katie looks in control right now, running like class.
Majoring in sociology? Yikes. Expect more out of a kiwi.

sheila reid is gonna win this race, no one in the field is as tough as her when it comes down the the final meters of the race. she's beaten all these girls before and she'll do it again. Flood will challenge but will lose cuz as fast as she kicks reid will find something extra that she won't have and will win.
someone had the nerve to not even predict reid in the top 5, are you serious?? lol

The word is properly punctuated "y'all."
Oh, the irony.
The race should be on.
Men's now.
Women's at 10' after the hour.
You down with LVD?
Yeah you know me.
Who's down with LVD?
Every last homie.
I guess it was Emily Infeld;-)
Hasay looked very good, especially a couple hours after taking a third in the 1500 meters. Flood...well...she was like an Indy car wreck.
Congrats to Van Dalen, Infeld, Maieer and Hasay for good races.
Can I just say, "na na na na na?" Kidding. Great race by all the girls.
