I don't wear Nikes, I wouldn't know! Just thought it was funny he cropped the photo before tweeting it. Maybe one of his (runner?) housemates has a non-Nike deal, you know?

Hey now, let's keep it civil dudes. You are correct Elton. Had to crop out the Nikes. I rock the NewBalance. But being down here at UNC you can't get away from the Swoosh, apparently a pretty popular athlete of theirs went to school here.
What is he doing in those 180 mile weeks?
Rob, your blog is awesome. I'm pulling for you.

Thanks man, appreciate it. Hope that whatever it is that you are training for is going well.
Cheers.
Ok, lets let this thread die now...

Please tell me you're joking.
I was on the phone with Gerry Lindgren about ten days ago and he said his highest mileage was six weeks at 350 mpw just to prove to a researcher that it could be done.

Not very well apparently, I haven't had a good race in 18 months!
Come on folks, you do not need to make stuff up here. Stick with the facts; I'm stupid for running that much, and I'm slow. That should be plenty to work with. No need for lies.
Or, we can just let this thread die, just let it go...

Gary, you should try and set up an interview with Gerry. I am sure he has crazy stories, I know I've already heard a few.
Lets interview rob instead
where in NC does all the running happen? I read a reference of good trails.
there are trails in Chappahill, plus Duke Forest right up the road, and then Umstead park in Raleigh. All within about 20mins
Pulling for ya Rob, get after it!

"Crazy" is the operative word here. This individual certainly suffers from a very serious mental disorder. There are at least a dozen different issues, as defined by the DSM-IV, affecting this person and you don't have to be a trained mental health professional to recognize that. He should seek professional help, to either bring about, or restore, some normalcy to his life. If nothing is done about it, his current lifestyle will lead to even worse psychological problems that could wind up completely incapacitating him.

Geez, Really? Thanks for the heads up!
i AM a trained mental health professional and I see nothing even remotely like a serious mental disorder in Watson's case.
