Does he give any detailed stories of getting nasty with Kara? If so, I'm sold!

Talk is cheap and ever since the whole 2008 Olympic Trials BS, I cannot respect Goucher. It made him look cheap and slimy and he wound up being exposed as a non-factor in the races.
The 2008 Trials deal was b.s. but I'm not blaming Goucher for what happened. He did end up running 7th in the men's 10k breaking 28 minutes.
As for the new book, I haven't been able to read a running book since the NY Times Bestseller "Pain" by Dan Middleman came out in the late 90's. Truly a masterpiece.
"RWTB"

Don't mind match; he's just trolling as usual, neither insightful nor funny.
When Wetmore writes a book, I'll buy that one.
It looks like more than 10 of the posts in this thread (some positive, some negative but including the original one) are from the same person. As a result, we have banned that poster (don't worry, your ban will expire eventually I believe - or you can email us).
I'm most likely going to delete the entire thread in the morning but wanted to explain why here.
Yeah man, it sounds like a real page turner--I'll wait 2 mos. and pick it up used on Amazon for a buck. This is what has become of American distance running?--a guy who can't do anything competition-wise on a regular basis against the best in the world gets a book published? The real story is how do these guys even get their books published in the first place? That's the real story!
He was fully complicit and old enough to know better, he shares the blame with the rest of his team and the crap officials that permitted it.

It's a self help book by two amateur psychologists. Most of it is painful to read...may be good for a high schooler but I'm not even sure about that...eating donuts and drinking water until you barf isn't about toughness it's about stupidity. Then there is the "distance maven thing" which is repeated 800 times.
You might enjoy this one as well, due out next April:
