I have not always been a big Adam Goucher fan and think he has brought on a lot of justifiable criticism, but I just read his book "Running the Edge" and I have a whole new view of the man! THIS BOOK IS F-ING INCREDIBLE!
I thought I was going to get a bunch of re-hashed "I'm a bad-ass" stuff like in RWTB but instead Goucher is insightful and openly admits his flaws and how he has screwed his career up at times. Some of the stories are gut wrenching and some had me laughing my ass off!
I don't know who the hell Tim Catalano is (co-author) but his stories and philosophies are inspiring and made me want to put down the book and go run. Whatever.
All I can say is if you are a Goucher hater or defender, you have to read this book to really know who he is. When you do, you will have a new perspective. You will also have a new outlook on your own running and life.
