Any interest in the newly released Motoactv? Looks a little steep for my blood at $249 for 8 GB. Also, having Dean as your salesman is a bit of a turnoff. Thoughts?

Does it have small, wireless headphones? If not, no dice.
Not sure why that is any better than the shuffle. The shuffle couldn't get any better unless they offered wireless earphones. Any smaller and it would be too small.
Who cares about the inaccurate "vitals" that this piece of junk would read?
Wow, he is not a very well-versed endorser of the product. Practice, practice, practice.
I like the idea, but knowing it's a Motorola device, I am confident that it works about 30% as advertised. I like the idea of having all of those functions integrated, but it's nowhere near as seamless and functional as they imply through their marketing.
The earbuds and microphone are connected via bluetooth, as is your actual cellphone. The device itself doesn't have a cellular phone in it, so you have to pair it with yet another device and carry it with you. The "bio-sensor" HRM is unquestionably flaky compared to the traditonal strap that senses the actual electrical impedance of the heart.
This device will go nowhere.
You do not have to pair the device to a phone to use it. Pairing with a phone is an additional feature, not a requirement to use the device. It will work as a GPS fitness tracker and music player without a phone. Also, it supports ANT+, so any ANT+ HR strap will work with it.
Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant that if you wanted to use it as Dean K. demonstrated, you would have to pair it with a separate cell phone to make and receive calls. It does stand alone as a music player and fitness device.

$250 isn't bad for mp3 AND a gps / heartrate device.
Who cares who the pitchman is?
if the heartrate monitor through the ear actually works, then i would be interested.
To the poster who says who cares about the pitchman.
Are you actually thinking that a product whose spokes person as Dean can work well and be what a true runner wants. Lets get real. I always thought letsrun was for serious runners not recreational joggers, like Dean.
