I am confident he can get it below 8 with track workouts and upping his weekly mileage.

Last Thursday he set eight different age group world records on the track at Birchmount Stadium, from 100m through to 5,000m.
Does that count as track work? Or maybe it just messed up his taper.

There may not be much definitive proof of his year of birth, but how far back do you go with the suspicion?
He ran Toronto in 2003 to set the 90+ record. By your logic, he was a 72 year old playing a 92 year old.
He's apparently been living in the UK for twenty years, along with his son. Did he enter the UK claiming to be 80 when he was actually only 60?
If his son is much above 60 years old, him being only 80 isn't all that likely.
So at what point in his life do you think he suddenly gained these extra twenty years and to what end? To scam the 100 year old marathon world record?

If he's 80, he has to beat 3:15 to keep up
Here's the question--does he have a valid birth certificate?

So true ! I heard he surged through every water station and took a dump right on the course at approximately kilometer 33 to finish and edge his shadow by .0003 seconds.
Ran that marathon this weekend. Met some family afterward and went for brunch near the marathon finish. We left the restaurant around 6 pm, just in time to see him trot into the finish around 8:25. He was still on his feet but looking understandably exhausted. He about 100 supporters running with him, the police and an ambulance.
The day before he ran track workouts for the record books - he ran them. It was amazing to watch him.
How many 100 year old's even walk; how many can make it 26 miles?

Close. It was the Thursday before where he ran eight world records (most of which were previously unclaimed).
