"You Suck" - dude at a regionals to each participant before he beat them all.
"Any time I see four guys running together, I know at least three of them are running the wrong pace."
It wasn't a quote referring to the Olympic 5000m final.
It was a quote as to how he liked to race in general!
Yes some of us do run MUCH faster than 99.9% of the people on letsrun.com and have a lifetime of experience competing in and following the sport.
Keep it on the crete.
End of thread.
"The only good race pace is a suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die" -Pre
I don't follow it, but Pre's determination to give everything he had in every race is demonstrated by this quote and just hearing it gets me excited to run (even if I run totally even splits).

"trust the work"--Patrick Makau.
"Run Bitch!" - some dude to some lady trying to catch a bus.
More sweat in training, less blood in battle.

"Some guys look good but suck." some little shite talking to his twerpy little friend, referring to me, the last place finisher in a provincial 3000m race in HS, although I was wearing a very cool pair of NB flats and a nice uniform. That was 30 years ago. Since then I have always raced in shabby clothes and worn out shoes.
To run is to live, everything else is waiting around.-- idk
