I am trying to decide on a good pair of shoes. I have high, rigid arches and do not pronate, and I am interested in making a conscious effort to move toward a mid-foot strike running style and maybe the minimalist shoes. (I have begun to learn a bit about "good form" running" (New Balance) and "chi running," and I like the idea of running without the knee, hip, and shin splint pain that I have experienced at various times. I wonder whether anyone can make a recommendation about either the Landreth (recommended by the expert at the local shop which does NOT sell NB) and the 890 (recommended by the guy at the local New Balance store).
