Im a high school sophmore who has achilles tendenosis. I got it during freshmen year outdoor caz i upped the mileage too much. I switched to a pair of brooks adrenaline GTS 10's because i thought i needed support. For XC I had no problems till the end (some tightness during the season) and in indoor I didnt have any problems till the end (also some tightness during the season). My mileage in indoor was a start of 25-30 then a high of 40. During this indoor season I began running 40 miles a week and got broken. I went to kilometers(best running store ever if ur in CT!) and I found out im a supinator with VERY high archs(only pressure applied is on the outer rims and none in the middle of the outer side). I got a pair of Mizuno wave rider 14's and are lovin them right now. Im easing my way ito minimalist running with barefoot around the house and wearing shoes in school that are worn down. so my question is what is a pair of shoes I can get to ease my way into barefoot running (during school) without straining my achilles. Also, recommendations for tempo/interval/threshold would be appreciated. THANKS!!
