Okay LetsRun, help me out here. I'm approaching the end of my current trainers (2 pair of Mizuno Wave Precision 10 - the white, blue and yellow ones) and need some advice on new shoes. I've already gone through 2 pair of the Precisions, and currently rotating 2 pair right now. When all is said and done, I'll have gone through 4 pair of them.
The obvious choice is to go with the Precision 11's, since they appear to be very similar and even lighter than the 10's. I was never a fan of Mizuno, but a buddy got me to try these and I love them. Particularly because they seem to be the only shoe I've worn that "hugs" my arch. But I'm always wary of new model shoes, so I'm open to suggestions. Some of the shoes out there that have my attention are:
Mizuno Wave Precision 11
Asics Gel Sky Speed
Adidas Oregon 10
Asics Gel Speedstar 5(I've trained in previous models of these before - the bright yellow ones)
Some background to my running if needed: I typically run anywhere from 70 to 115 miles in a given week, depending on where I'm at in the season and what I'm training for. I can usually get ~1,000 miles out of a pair of shoes. I always have at least 2 pair of shoes in rotation, thus, when I buy shoes, I buy 2 pair at a time. I'm 5'10, 135 lbs and have high arches. I guess I'm a neutral runner, because the neutral shoes always seem to work best for me.
I've still got another month or so on these shoes, but wanted to get ideas on what shoes would be next. Anyone have experience in any of these shoes I listed? Or have any new suggestions?
Thanks in advance, here's hoping the trolls stay at bay.
PS, I have a $50 gift certificate to Running Warehouse, and that's where I'll buy my shoes.
