So I am gearing up to run my first marathon on April 30. Initially I was shooting for sub 2:35, but I think I am going to be conservative and shoot for sub 2:40.
In any case, I ran a 1:13 half marathon last fall in the Brooks T5 racer. My feet felt completely comfortable the whole time in these shoes, and I was back running 2 days later no problem after the race.
However, I took some time off from serious training after the half and I have neglected wearing my flats since then.
So now I am about 5 weeks out from the marathon, in very good shape, but I haven't worn my racing flats for any workouts yet.
Do you think I can still ease into them? The brooks t7 i guess it will have to be at this point..
Are these even the right shoe for a 2:40 marathon? I just like the way they provide support. in the past i felt like they were super light but i could run forever in them.
Finally, are there any recommendations for a marathon racing flat that still feels like a racing shoe but has more support.
THanks
