This person has the right idea but getting on the train on that morning and then getting the bus to the start can make for a long morning.
Here is my suggestion: if flying, go into Green (Warwick, RI) airport. Most likely, a savings from flying into Logan.
If you are on a budget, use Priceline (check rates at biddingfortravel) to book hotel (you can stay at a nice place for $40-50) and car at the Green airport. The drive from there to Hopkington is about a half hour. After race, take the bus back to your car in Hopkington and to the hotel. Plenty of places to go for food and drink in Providence or Warwick area.
You save a ton of money and no travel hassles by staying out of the Boston area.
