replace Ryun with Bayi's world mile record 3:51.0 - what a beast!

Did Rodal lead all the way at theOlympics? He ran 1:42 (I think marginally quicker than the indoor record, but obviously not as impressive).
becouse the gun need voice is very big,so the people can listen

Probably need to revise it and say the last 90% of the race which allows for the initial jostling of position.
Komen 7.20
I imagine that there's probably been a faster solo Half Marathon but Ryan Hall was solo in his AR.
For women, how about Benoit's 2:24.52 in 84? I think she led from the first water stop.

No, Rodal came from the within the pack.
Komen'a 7:20 had rabbits.
tadese blew the competition away before 10k in his WR run

I guess 7.28.86 for the 3k. Alamirew was 11 seconds ahead of second, so he probably led just about all of it.

Good call--Bayi was astounding--such an exciting runner compared to the many more cautious sit-and-kick types.
However, it appears that Coghlan got in front of Bayi by about one inch for about 5 feet of running...

nah was paced by Jimmy Robinson
Yes, but James Robinson was already 7m up on Coe by 300m and then just went further away.
At 400m - Robinson 51.5, Coe 52.4
800m - Robinson 1:47.4!!, Coe 1:49.1
So depends what you mean by solo run. No, Coe wasn't in the lead from gun to tape, but to all intents and purposes, gained absolutely no drafting from the rabbit and was also given no lap times. They called them out to Robinson, but he was so far ahead that Coe couldn't hear them! Robinson then dropped out at 800m leaving Coe about 25m up on the field which included Scott, Gonzales & Boit.
In my eyea that's a solo run, but I guess it doesn't quite have the criteria for this thread. Having said that, it was at least as equally impressive as Bayi's 3:32.2 run.
