you can definitely do it. but can you give us background on what kinds of mileage you've been hitting? very important to get the miles up to at least respectable amount for a half if you're not already doing so.
according to McMillan calculator (http://www.mcmillanrunning.com/cgi-bin/calc.pl), a 1:30 half marathon equates to a 19:28 5k all-out effort and a 40:27 10k effort. so the fact that you just did 40min 10k effort and it's like tempo effort on treadmill is great sign. Add to this that you'll be super motivated for the race and have people to chase and it shouldn't be too hard. Make sure you PACE yourself. PACING so important....you want to just sit on those 6:45-6:50s or so and the first few 2 miles should feel a bit like just floating along/jogging/getting into it...
also in specific preparation for the half, 1x/wk try doing some 4-5 mile tempos at 6:50 pace or so but tacked onto the end of a longer run...these should help a lot. then maybe VO2 max workout and keeping up mileage. taper 1-2 wks before it and go for it!
should be very doable. let us know how it turns out man, good luck!
