So you are happy to have SS sit back in the pack and watch as others sprint away from him in the final metres. On the other hand, I applaud him -- and his coach -- for having the courage and fortitude to put it all on the line. The end result in both cases is an also-ran finish. But the courageous way he ran it -- as opposed to your conservative pussyfooting -- speaks volumes about the man. I think most competitive runners would prefer to be coached by SS (or his coach) than someone who advocates not taking chances at success.
