If not, then when?

Although many people don't accept the Bible's timeline of history, they have difficulty deciding exactly when to start disagreeing with it.

* Was Jesus Christ real? The Bible says he was, and no serious historian doubts it.

* Was King David real? The Bible says he was. Again, there is no reason to doubt it.

* Was Abraham real? The Bible says he was. There seems no reason to doubt this either.

* Was Enoch real? The Bible says he was. There is no reason to think the Bible has suddenly lapsed into fiction when the other people were genuine historical figures.

* Was Adam real? Well, Enoch was a son of Cain, who was a son of Adam. So if Enoch was real there is no reason to think that his father Cain wasn't, or that his grandfather Adam wasn't. They were only two generations away.

And Adam was the first man, created in the first week of the earth's existence.

According to the Bible, he lived about 6000 years ago. So according to the Bible, the world also is about 6000 years old.

I was sitting on the "L" train in Chicago the other day looking across the aisle at a college age black guy and I thought, here is evolution sitting across from me. I looked around the train and noticed all the different races of people on the train.

That guys skin adapted to his envirnment after hundreds of years living in the sun. My skin is fair because I come from northern europe.

I watched a great show about the Hubble telescope the other night and how they trained the Hubble on a mere spec in the sky where they thought there was pure blackness. The guy said it was like pointing the Hubble to look through a drinking straw.

For 10 days they left the Hubble to focus in on this spec of the universe and they found, are you ready, 10,000 NEW GALAXIES!!!! Holy SH!T!

Now why would some god create all those galaxies that we would NEVER see. What purpose do they serve for us.

There are at least three and perhaps four genes involved in skin color and several alleles (variants) at each gene producing differing amounts of melanin. It would not take long for these to segregate out into different inbred populations creating true-breeding lines for particular skin color shades. Evolution has nothing to do with this.

An ark is a container of something considered important. It is not necessarily a boat.

If the structure found is Noah's ark it would interesting if it simply a structure high on a mountain where animals were kept, like a zoo.

Doesn't a high elevations + sub-freezing weather + low oxygen levels have something to do with a dramatic slowing down of wood rot? Think again, Carnivore.

People wrote the Bible thousands of years ago, what else would we believe from that time? Nothing. People wrote it, people that didn't know much.

Seriously, guys, think of who you're arguing with. You can't reason with the unreasonable. You can't talk logic with the illogical. Any adult who believes in the literal word of the Bible is almost certainly beyond the point of ever being capable of critical thinking. You're wasting your time.
