i agree with everything you said, and adams does produce extremely good american athletes, but im pretty sure the majority of their top 7 or top 10 are foreigners.

this is not DII vs D1
aaron braun would be the favorite to win the 3k if he was in d1. he may be the favorite to win us nationals in Albuquerque
Care to try that again using coherent English?

Great call out. People who don't have wheel or don't what it takes to break someone mid race always use that excuse.
Oh, the academic genius represented by d2.

The Adams State top 9 "pecking order" at the end of the xc season 09. Make of it what you will but it looks fairly balanced to me..
1. Reuben Mwei - Kenya
2. Aaron Braun - America
3. Brian Medigovich - America
4. Anthony Gautier - France
5. Luke Cragg - England
6. Nathan Sellers - America
7. Ryan Mcniff - America
8. Edwin Cruz - America
9. Brandon Birdsong - America

if you don't run because of a cold you are a straight up p*ssy. He probably should take off any meet where he doesn't feel 100% before, I hate rupp... o baby do i hate rupp

these are the words spoken of a true mid-back packer. someone with nothing to lose in any case because whats slipping a few spots when you're already in the double digits and nobody's watching where you finish anyway?
when you carry a sponsor you are a product and the product better be good or the sponsor loses value. that's like selling a pack of guiness that had the recipe thrown off due to a factory problem. you just don't do it. you take those bottles and toss them and wait until the problem is fixed in order to sell the product that people expect, because it's great.
when it comes to running it's more complicated because someone training a rupp's level can get in the hole quickly if their immune system gets run down. these cats aren't just running twice a day and talking tough in their inner monologues while they do it, they're doing workouts on top of races, cross training on top of workouts and weights plyos on top of "easy day" runs.
they have actual races that matter that they have to take into account. the outcome of those races affects how they stand with their sponsor, as well as immediate income, and future bonuses and income.
in short, they are thinking of the big picture and not impressing mom and dad by saying, "well i ate sh#t today but a least i ran with a sore throat".
you sound like such a p*ssy.
I hope he doesn't "feel bad" during Worlds or the Olympics... Wait, yes I do...
Let's just ask Matt Withrow about giving up... and easy days, and feeling bad... maybe if we fill old Matty up with some Salazar HGH, and all the goodies, he'd win footlockers... oh wait he did it with out them... Who'd a thought a country wide tour would be the outcome....
But the Boston Indoor meet isn't Worlds or Olympics. It doesn't take a genius to figure out the difference between missing a meet due to an illness vs. racing at an important meet despite an illness. Maybe Withrow hasn't developed into the talent he showed at FL and during his early Wisco days because he doesn't know when to back off?
